Thank you for supporting your democratically-elected Conservative Government
Since you feel strongly against this Separatist Coalition and have asked what you can do to help, I suggest the following:
1) Contact the Opposition, and tell them an unelected government is not what you want.
Stéphane Dion, Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada
By email: Dion.S@parl.gc.ca
By telephone: 613-996-5789
By fax: 613-996-6562
Jack Layton, Leader of the New Democratic Party
By email: Layton.J@parl.gc.ca
By telephone: 613-995-4565
By fax: 613-995-7224
2) Write to the Governor General and tell her you are concerned about the constitutional legitimacy of a coalition government involving separatists.
Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.D.
Governor General of Canada
By email: smcook@gg.ca
By telephone: 1-800-465-6890
By fax: 613-998-8760
3) Speak with your friends and family across Canada about your concerns and what the Opposition is attempting to do. Refer them to my website at www.markwarawa.com if they need more information.
4) Attend a rally in your area. There is one planned on Saturday, December 6, at Library Square in Vancouver from 12-2 p.m. Refer to the Web site http://rallyforcanada.ca for updates as the location may change.
5) Write letters to the Editor of your local newspapers:
Langley Advance, 112-6375 202 Street, Langley, BC, V2Y 1N1, editor@langleyadvance.com
Langley Times, 20258 Fraser Highway, Langley, BC, V3A 4R3, newsroom@langleytimes.com
Aldergrove Star, 27106 Fraser Highway, Aldergrove, BC, V4W 3P6, newsroom@aldergrovestar.com
6) Contact Liberal and NDP Members of Parliament. Their addresses can be found at www.parl.gc.ca. At the home page, click on “Members of Parliament (Current)”.
7) Sign petitions. There is an on-line petition at this link: http://www.canadians4democracy.ca/
8) Call in and voice your concern on talk radio.
Once again, thank you for your efforts to prevent a takeover by the Separatist Coalition. I believe as you do that Canadians elected our government with a strengthened mandate less than two months ago and want us work on our country’s most important priority – the economy.
Sincerely,
Mark Warawa, M.P.
Langley
