Editor: Many thanks need to go out for helping make the Spirit of the Horse Memorial Garden Fundraiser such a success.
The Langley Golf Centre provided a warm and charming reception home for the guests who danced and sang to the entertainment of Elvis Elite. Thanks to the different businesses who provided nearly 200 items for the silent auction, including a $4,500 gift for eye surgery from Iris Ophthalmology, as well as large baskets of elegant gifts, jewelry, trail rides, dinner evenings at Fraser Downs Race course.
Thanks also need to go to Diane Williams, who provided from her studio a magnificent painting of horses and birds, and to Paul Twyford, whose well-decorated table was one of the main attractions.
Thanks to MP Mark Warawa, Mayor Rick Green, the Vintage Riders Equestrian Club, leading politicians, tack shops and veterinarians and the B.C. Horse Council. Ulli and John Dargel and Simone Strict also need to be thanked for their help in setting up the evening as well as all those who attended.
