Environmental heroes sought

Langley MP Mark Warawa and The Times are teaming up to find a Langley environmental hero.

Nominations of individuals, groups or businesses working to make Langley a greener and more environmentally-conscious place are being accepted starting today, at warawam7@parl.gc.ca. They will be accepted until May 25, and nominees will then be profiled in The Times, to give members of the public a chance to choose the Environmental Hero for 2009, from June 1-6.

A flyer promoting the event is going to Langley residents by mail.

The winner of this year’s award will have a tree planted in their honour at Fort Langley National Historic Park.
