Warawa Appointed to Environment Committee
OTTAWA, ON — Today, Member of Parliament Mark Warawa accepted an appointment to the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development.
“I am thrilled to join my colleagues Joël Godin and the Hon. Mike Lake on the Environment Committee. Canada is a remarkable place to call home, and it is our responsibility to be good stewards. For Parliamentarians, this means ensuring the laws, policies and projects initiated at a federal level are drafted responsibly, in accordance with the rule of law and undertaken in an environmentally sustainable way.
“I look forward to continuing the work that was started during my time as Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister of the Environment, and collaborating with my colleagues from all parties to ensure Canada remains beautiful for future generations.”
