Langley MP Mark Warawa will be co-hosting a free Old Age Security and Canada Pension Plan Seminar for seniors at the Langley Seniors Resource Centre (20605 51B Avenue) on Thursday, April 8, 2010.
Coffee with Mark will begin at 9:30am followed by the seminar, which will be held by a representative from Service Canada at 10:00am. This seminar is to answer any questions you might have about federal government benefits for seniors, as well as to advise seniors of any changes to the regulations and new benefits to seniors.
Topics will include: Old Age Security, Guaranteed Income Supplement, Canada Pension Plan, as well as information on local services and programs for seniors.
“We are responding to a number of inquiries we have had recently from seniors especially who would like to know what benefits are available to them, and who need assistance when filling in applications,” says Warawa. “I look forward to the opportunity to present this forum at the Seniors Resource Centre”.
Please register for this event by calling the Seniors Centre at 604-530-3020.
